I finally feel like I'm crawling back into the sunlight, after days in a cave. I've been sick, since before Valentine's day. At first, I thought it was allergies, which typically kick up for me after a cold front comes through, but the Claritin had no effect on it, so I figured "Ok, it's a head-cold."
Took massive doses of Dayquil/Nyquil liqui-gels, blew my nose through an entire box of tissues, and still felt like crap. So when I got back to Atlanta (I was on a road-trip in PA 2/14-2/17), I went into the med-center at the office, where he pronounced I had a sinus infection.
So I got better meds, went home, took the dogs to the dog-sitter (again) and prepared for my trip to Chicago. Had a bad reaction to the antibiotic the first night, but the pharmacist said it was just a side-effect and nothing to really worry about.
I've been in Chicago almost a week now, with another week to go on this trip, and am finally feeling somewhat human. Happily, I've been attending class, not teaching, and that helps a lot. I can sit and take notes without feeling like I'm gonna die. But I'm sleeping a lot, and my brain has been fuzzy most of the week.
Today I'm finally hungry again, so I figure that's a good sign (yes, I've been eating; I've just not been hungry)
Hopefully it's all uphill from here.
